Xfinity Stream App Reviews

I like the app as it is a good extension of my X1. But I recorded a tv show and downloaded it to watch offline. After watching it then deleting it the app must have cached the file or something because the app was 10x its normal size. Only way I could get rid of the extra storage space was to delete the app and reinstall. That will be hassle if I need to do this every time.

When recording a show I often want to start watching it prior to the show finishing. Youd think that would mean it starts from the beginning right? WRONG! When you hit watch it starts it at live tv. Needless to say this can cause major spoilers especially when youre recording a sporting event. Also when watching in this way I get an error periodically and it stops the show making me restart it but once again this makes me go to live tv. Im doing this from home wifi (which otherwise has no issues) so its not a connection issue. I realize these are all first world problems but come on Comcast were paying you way too much to have you put something like this out and calling it a final product.

Why do I pay all this money to you guys if I cant actually use the Mobile app Outside of my Home wifi. If this isnt going to be changed soon as its been like this for months now after the change. Ill be going elsewhere for my service.

Even if I were commenting on how well the app is put together you cant use it outside of your home basically! So why even make it? Why even waste the time rebranding it? You really dont listen to what customers want do you?

How is it I cannot view all my channels? I went to see what was coming up on HBO and there was no HBO, nor Cinemax, or Showtime. Even if u search GoT, the app is like: "What? Theres no such thang as Game Of Thrones!!"

When I wanna watch the playoffs I search the team, press games, then it just crashes ??‍♂️

The app was working well until the last update. I cant log into the app. It says something has gone wrong. Yet, my user name and password is correct.

This app works great for about 20 min, then it the video allows to a crawl.

Love this "app" Ill not miss another show again. My "tv" is always with me now. Thanks XFINITY!!!!

Excellent. Have never had issues with this app. Hands and Heads over Ma Bell attempts.

Pick a show from the recordings. Attempt to watch. Shows plays for 2.5 seconds, app freezes, you wait, show doesnt start again, hit pause, hit play, show starts again, show freezes...eventually, because you are trying to do something else you give up all of the trying to help it along and you just let it go, hoping it will fix itself, then, you look up and realize, the picture is froze on a screen shot from the last commercial while the audio is like 10 minutes ahead. GARBAGE. I have FULL wifi connection, NO problems with my internet. Must be a crap app

I am not being paid for this review and be Leary of those 4 and 5 star ratings given by anyone they are not being honest about how it really works. Also I think they purposely watch the ratings and when there is negative reviews they have someone come on and rate it high so it negates the negative ones. While it sometimes is nice to watch live tv on some channels (not all cable channels are available for on the go watching like Fox network or CBS) oftentimes channels such as TLC, AMC, Fox network etc. their programming is only allowed for in home viewing. I found that if you download the individual apps i.e TLC, AMC, Fox network, etc. and sign in using your cable provider you can see not only the shows they have deemed "in home only" but far more programming is available than is on the xfinity app itself. That is sad :( because this app should allow for all of it but it doesnt and is very frustrating. Then if you try to record shows to avoid the "in home only" they do not work. It is a very limited service. Also like FX, FXX, CNN have live viewing on their apps as well so it eliminates the need for the xfinity app completely. Only ABC and NBC come up on live tv watching or on demand. You will have to pay CBS for their app anyway and when set up to record so you can watch it out of the home it is hit or miss whether the recording will work at all. HBO go is far batter than the xfinity app no content is restricted like the xfinity app. It is very unstable as well. Hit or miss with it.

Using X1 system about 1 year. Easy access to recorded shows as well as on demand, even when across country. Using laptop, can broadcast most content to TV via HDMI. iPhone has restrictions. Plus some live channels not available when not on home network such as NHL.

This is a wonderful app.

I watch tv shows on my pad that I saved all the time. It is worth the high price I pay for the xfinity features.

Great App

This app is great and easy to use. The only issue I have is not having access to all of my Channels when away from my home wifi.

I just want to know why isnt this app able for download on the Macbook?

Comcast/Xfinity have the best streaming TV apps
