Xfinity has always been an inferior product when compared to the competition, but that point is even more obvious after its recent major "upgrade". The ability to bookmark and save shows has been removed, and to circumvent that inconvenience you must start a program for a bit and it will then save it under watched items. A real pain.
Previously, the system had problems and users were subjected to the constant "Video Access Issue::5062" (or 3329/1200, or NSURLErrorDomain) messages, when trying to watch something. It was terrible. Now, the current inconvenience that users are faced with is the same nonsense under the new "Connection Error 3305" or "authorization Issue 4000" code. Its not pleasurable constantly dealing with access and authorization issues. Its too frustrating to deal with, and enough is enough. Same nonsense re-wrapped in a wonderfully slick black design.
A further inconvenience is the "upcoming" button. There are times when you want to watch something , but its unavailable except at a specific time. If I wanted a regimented schedule, then regular TV would be far better. Xfinity should stop playing hide and seeks games and just show the blasted programs. And of course the nonsense continues with the new inconvenience of being able to watch some content ONLY at home. Yes, that certainly embraces the whole point of a mobile platform app. How a roomful of well educated adults come up with and agree on such policies is nothing less than astounding (and frankly, rather embarrassing).
Between not having dependable video access, to a library largely featuring old John Wayne Western movies, obscure flops, or dated black exploitation films (or their modern day animated equivalents on Adult Swim, which features shows which never fails to say racist and insulting comments about people of color), Xfinity On Demand is not worth the time. Id rather just pay another company separately for better, more dependable access, better programming, and a more common-sense layout. Id rather pay another company than deal with Xfinitys nonsense. I doubt if these reviews are even read or considered, as nothing has improved (except the packaging). Our comments are really an exercise in futility. BUT, they will notice if enough people drop them. The only way to make a difference is to hurt them in the pocketbook. Only then will Xfinity listen.
