Xfinity Stream App Reviews

Comcast have removed Chromecast support making this app useless for those of us that used to use it to stream channels we have already paid for to TV without a cable box. This app is now effectively useless :(

This ap is great. Being able to watch all my favorite sporting events while Im away from home is the best part.

And the sheer amount of available programs and movies. Wish theyd ease up on certain movies and content being restricted to Home Wireless only, but otherwise I really enjoy it!

I cant even launch the app :( I cant get past "get started."

The best option when I dont want to watch what everyone else is watching.

Have used in and out of house and it has worked with few glitches.

Why can I not simply search for a channel, see a list of its on demand shows and select from so just like I do on my television.........

This is a very usable app but the user interface needs to be more consistent. Back, forward during streaming or from app to app or from featured to feature need to be more consistent and stay in the same place on the screen.

App is easy to use. Allow us to watch live, recorded and on-demand selections. Schedule recording and clean-up the DVR remotely. Highly recommend!

The Apple Watch App is a waste of space. Wont let you switch between boxes to control, which effectively makes every other feature useless. I was hoping an update would fix it, but months later its still garbage.

Its unbelievable how they lie. I just watched Buster Posey on a commercial say "stream the game live." Every time I try to stream a live game it says "in home only." I guess that means that I can only watch it on my Home TV, because I am in my home trying to stream it on a device and it wont work! When I initially left this review, I said I had to give them credit for how the app interfaces with the DVR function. It was clean and worked pretty well, better than the set-top, which constantly ask for another "OK." However now that function is not working well. 2/3 of the time when I try to access DVR content, Im just getting the Beachball. I dont know how Xfinity plans on surviving, they keep putting out junk apps to try to compete with online content and keep subscribers from using network apps like sci-fi Channel (which is unavailable for Xfinity users, they refer you to this app as the alternative!) But their apps are Junk. Even when they get something right, they managed to screw it up later, unbelievable. Im getting really close to trying a satellite or online alternative!

Decent design and pretty intuitive. Only one MAJOR PROBLEM. You need an Apple TV version. I can watch TV everywhere but my TV. If you want to start a stream service, you should look at Direct TV now app (works with all devices). Please do this! I would love to ditch Direct TV. Its a pain to have to plug my phone in and mirror it to the TV every time I want to watch something.

In the previous version, I was able to download a recording to a mobile device and watch offline. Not anymore. It either gets to 65-70% and constantly restarts the download over and over or says its successful but didnt download. Thats my biggest gripe with the app.

I love watching my favorite tv shows on my phone when I not at home

A few updates back the app would show you if youve already viewed a certain movie or show. Since then all the new updates have eliminated this option to let you know whether not youve already viewed certain TV shows or movies. It would be nice if they bring that option back and not have us guessing. This option was linked with the home cable box were both would be in sync when a show was watched. It would also be nice if they illuminated the option on some movies and TV shows that mention it can only be viewed on the home cable box and allow it to be viewed on any device.

When watching live TV it tells me that I am not on my own WiFi but I am, I try uninstalling and then reinstalling but it still happening

The number of error messages i get just trying to pull up a show is insane. Sometimes I have to try 5-6 times to get a show to actually play.
