Started letting me watch live tv this weekend after a long period of telling me Im not on my home network when i was. Ill give it 5 stars if it keeps working. Some reviewers have questioned the usefulness of only being able to watch live tv on your home network. I love it. I can take my iPad out on the patio and watch live tv or carry my iPhone around the yard and listen to live tv or monitor other stations while I watch something on my tv. To me its a great feature.

Most of everything needs to be watched on your home network. POINTLESS!!!! Now Sling Box is TV on the go. You can watch live, recorded and on demand television. I suggest getting Sling Box. Best gift I ever received. Oh and it also connects to Apple TV, which I also have.

Crashes the second it opens.

Really like the ability to watch tv and recorded shows on my iPad. However, the streaming breaks up, completely stops, pauses for a second every minute, and/or the audio loses sync with the video far too often. I have a 150 Mbps download speed with <30 ms latency and 0 packet loss connection. Netflix and Amazon apps both stream flawlessly over the same devices. I would add that the compression creates lousy resolution on the iPad a lot of times.

Utter crap. They promote this app saying you can take your TV anywhere, but its BS. Every single show Ive tried to watch, theres a reason it wont play. Some shows play ONLY when youre on your home network-- but then why do I need an app at all if Im home and can just turn on the TV? The rest have just crashed. So far, Ive succeeded in watching *nothing.* Leave it to Comcast to promise and fail to deliver.

riddled with bugs and slowness and more slowness. 500 data issue on search. every operation takes multiple tens of seconds. the innovation is the slowness and bugs since Amazon, hulu, netflix and a host of others do it better and faster.

I travel all over the world and stay at same hotels. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I am in Tokyo. Last time I was here it worked great and now, it tells me I dont have an Internet connection. When it works, it is wonderful (30% of time) when it doesnt (70% of time) it is frustrating.

Ever hear of testing the app before releasing it? This last version no longer functions. Useless!

It works so sporadically. Today is a day when I get the cannot create url with Comcast error. No fix.

This app used to be good. But now it lags on all the shows I record and watch. Im on the home Newport pinging 181 mb/s. No reason it should lag when ESPN doesnt nor does abc or nbc apps. Please fix this

- several times since installing this app about two weeks ago. Great concept: watch TV on my iPad (prevents competing about who watches who in the family - just sit down in my favorite chair with my iPad - brilliant - if it would only work PROPERLY) but, really, Xfinity, shouldnt you make sure this app works without freezing and crashes so darn often, preferably NEVER??? It says for me to check my internet - I have 45+Mbps on my iPad - right now - I am connecting just fine! Please fix!

The fact Im taking the time to write a review is proof enough of how crappy this app is. I installed and reinstalled.... Never worked. I would tap the icon to start the app and it would open and close immediately.

This latest update broke something. I heart background noise but no voices. Awesome job!

I have everything Xfinity (Home Security, Wifi 100Mb, Phone, Cable).... Yet since March 2016, I cant watch because as soon as I open the app it takes FOREVER to download (guessing) shows. While its doing that I cant even scroll through my list of recorded shows. It takes so long I just close the app and give up. It used to work and be great but they changed something in the last few months that broke the app! PLEASE FIX!!!!

The cast button for chromecast is essential. We can take XFINITY anywhere we go and dont have to try to watch program using a small phone screen

Better, but terrible performance and lag (when fast forwarding!) in comparison to Netflix or Amazon. Note: Tested on iPhone 6s with 40mb connection (according to speedtest). I know there are drm issues, but if dont bring AirPlay to this app you will encourage cord cutters to bail on Comcast. Helpful? Vote Below?
