Worst video player in the App Store

Please escalate to executive management. Xfinity has the worst video and lowest rated streaming app in the App Store. Terrible performance for 15 skip and rewind is what makes this the worst video player in the App Store. Second, you need to have AirPlay functionality. This should be priority if Xfinity wants to prevent people from "cutting the cord". The video player experience is terrible. Especially, when you compare it to a service like Amazon or Netflix. Both are 10x better at basic controls like 15 second skip, buffering, smooth playback, etc. This will be why most people cut the cord and Xfinity files bankruptcy like blackberry or newspapers that didnt adapt. Xfinity TV Issue

With the latest update to the Xfinity TV app, Voice Over is turned on by default and their is no way to turn this feature off, in settings the voice over feature is turned off but yet during play back the app continues to do voice over prompts

Update to review

Very good update. It works just fine. Now I can access all the channels and does not fail to populate all the line up. Please do not updated anymore. It works great for now. Thanks for reading the reviews and fixing it for us.

Every since the last update, my app isnt including any of my recordings...so irritating...please fix ASAP!!!

Xfinity TV having problems

Still tells me Im not on my home network when I am. Ive had this problem since the March update. It had worked fine for over a year before that. A few weeks ago I worked with Comcast support. The last person I talked to at Level 4 Support told me that since I own my modem instead of renting theirs its my problem and not theirs. Thanks Comcast

Waste of time unless you live in certain areas

Update to below: Finally get ability to use this service. Worthless though. Just updated because I saw in the update it gives the ability to stream NBC and another channel on-the-go (just like I can with ALL channels on Dish). Of course, its only available in "limited markets". Still worthless. Was sold an X1 package with this app being a huge selling point as I travel often and like to watch content on my iPad (I could with Dish before switching to Comcast). No coverage in the Minneapolis area. Message is BS.. "Check back soon"... Have been checking back for months and months but still nothing.

The last update broke?

When I went to watch a downloaded show, it stopped about 4 minutes into the show then went back about 30 seconds... This only happened to one downloaded show, and its a bug that was fixed in a prior version (that I remember seeing in the update notes...) looks like it broke again! Only gets 2 stars until fixed! Otherwise I love the X1 platform!

Still garbage

On a good 70% of my recordings Ill get about halfway through, then itll start skipping around like a broken record and the rest of the recording is unwatchable. Typical Comcast garbage.

Wow! Just wow!

I can not believe what I am getting ready to type. I have (for a long time now) used the xfinity TVGO app because I thought that using this app required an X1 subscription...anyway...I have always used the TVGO app which was just HORRIBLE! I Have not invested many hours with this app but I can already tell that it is miles ahead of the TVGO app! Thank you Comcast! And thank you for adding picture in picture and allowing it to be used while viewing live tv! Keep up the great work!

The People Want AirPlay!!

I like most of the app, but no AirPlay?!?! Come on man! Get your stuff together!

Awful

This app has confined to have problems across versions. It remains slow, buggy, and filled with issues. It creates an awful and frustrating user experience. Shame on Comcast for not fixing it!

In-home use over mobile phone data

Can the guys at xfinity make it to where an paying customer can use their in-home service over their mobile phone data. This would be great for a lot of customers, especially those who have children and love to travel. They wouldnt have to miss any of their shows the day it airs if they are on the road or they can put on their fussy children favorite show to calm them down.

Dont waist your time downloading this crap. It doesnt show you all your recordings and doesnt let you watch anything unless youre on your home wifi....

Upgrading to X1 solved my problems

I had 2 years of hell with Comcast. Paying monthly for service that never worked. Upgrading to X1 has been awesome and seems to have solved my problems. I love all this system offers. As for this app I have had no problems at all. It works great! I cant believe Im back to being happy with Comcast again after hating them for so long. Now if we could only get them to lower their ridiculously high prices.........

Does not work

I’m at home, connected to my home wifi, but the app tells me I’m not connected to my home wifi. Is it the fact I’m using an Airport Time Capsule as my router, or a Linksys EA7500 as my access point? It’s a good thing the TV Go app works, otherwise I wouldn’t have a mobile app that I could use to watch TV elsewhere.

Stops the show while looking at tv line up. Please change that!

I actually loved this app before you updated it. I liked the way how it looked before. I wanted the show to play in the background while I searched the lineup! Now it stops the show while I search which I hate! The rest of the app, I love. But I want to listen to the show while searching the menu. Please fix that. It crashes sometimes too.

App doesnt work any more

After this latest update the app opens, then it hangs, then it crashes. When it worked, launching into the "For You" screen was horrible. Make it like a TV and open to the last channel selected. Stop changing the location of buttons where you change channels or choose last channel menu. Also, how can I get an error that says "you must be on your home wifi" to use the app when Im on my home wifi. What kind of crappy validation does your app perform? For goodness sake, make the app work!

Inconstant

New recordings never show up on the app. Playback is slow and choppy.

Worthless

Whats wrong with you xfinity? Are you gonna keep ignoring your customers? Do we need a switch? You are wonderful when it comes to charges but to fix a simple problem takes forever. Come on people read the reviews and get on it!!!!!
