Cant watch everything but some stuff I can. Its clear though.

The worst streaming app

Terrible performance and lag in comparison to Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Still no AirPlay support after August 1st update...

Why wont Comcast let me AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad to a TV in my home for a service Im already paying for? Playback doesnt always work.

Works pretty good sometimes...

Wish it worked better more often. Playback is often riddled with stops and restarts.

Surprisingly good!

Very satisfied with Xfinity Stream App. It works all the time. I have watched my own shows from my DVR at familys homes and hotels all across the country. I hope they dont break it with an update!

You removed my favorite browsing feature!

I just downloaded the latest version of XFINITY Stream. I appreciate that you are trying to improve how to find programs easier and faster BUT you removed my favorite browsing feature... the ability to browse movies BY TIME SLOT with a picture of each movie, which channel its on, and when it starts and stops, before you select the movie. This view also allowed you to see what movies are coming up - very handy. Movies On Now is not as useful now because the progress bars dont tell you exactly when the movie started and when it finishes unless you select it and look at the start and stop times. And you cant see what movies are coming up. I would REALLY like to see you bring that time based browse feature back in the next version. Ill be curious to see what others think...

Could be worse

Dont be away from your wifi it will shut you off quicker than you can say Comcast

Too many commercials to watch

When you pay for content you dont expect commercials. But if you try to use this remote streaming option, you are hit with a ridiculous numbers of commercials. This is not a benefit for subscribers it is a new revenue stream for Comcast.

Love this app!

I use this app almost every day. I love being able to carry my iPad around the house while watching or sometimes just listening to a show/movie/music. Helps me get more accomplished!

Too many bugs

This app is terrible with the last two Apple software updates. It used to be great, but now it freezes and/or re buffers every minute or two. It makes it incredibly frustrating to watch shows Ive recorded. Please fix this asap.

Used to be good

Was great until a few months ago. Doesnt download or stream entire episode 2/20/2017: if I could give negative stars I would. This app is worthless. Even streamed videos are cutoff. Now I cant even download. Talked to customer support and they did nothing but say "I understand" 3/14/2017: supposedly customer service corrected. Yet still isnt working. I was hoping new version would correct issue 7/28/2017: spent another 45 minutes with customer support. Issue is still not corrected. I am requesting credits for a now. Honestly if technical support took me seriously they would get 5 stars.

Sucksssss

Lately nothing I previously recorded works when Im away from home and trying to watch it !!! So sick of paying hundreds of dollars for service that never works !!!!

Kept crashing and freezing

After the app updated I would try to open the app but it would either freeze and I would have to try to reopen it or it would crash when i tried reopening it.

Invasive app impossible to remove from IOS Devices

App worked for several months with annoying glitches but it was tolerable. After latest IOS update 10.3.3 and switching to DVR X1 it worked for less than a week. Error codes started appearing and no way of fixing the non-usable app. After it "adds my device" it displays 2 as in yes- two live tv stations. Sometimes 3! Completely uninstalled and wiped phone of all traces everything Comcast yet still would not work. After speaking with level 3 technicians at Comcast for at least 3 hours on 4 separate occasions I was told it was my device. IPhone 6. (With no other issues). Apple says its not up to them how 3rd parties write their apps. They can only guide to completely wipe my phone and restore it. This is ridiculous that the customer grts stuck between two giant companies who should be able to pinpoint the reason that the xfinity streaming app wont be eradicated. I spent at least 12-15 hours scouring for a solution as Id rather not wipe my phone clean. I wont blame Apple as no other app has gotten into my phone so much that it cant be removed. My username and passwords will not work to connect to Comcast servers via the IOS app on my device yet they work on my desktop pc. Im connected in home just fine so the only thing broken is this app. I made no changes to the phone to cause it to break the app, no new apps were added, I erased all safari web data, cookies, etc and still no go. Restarted many times under different circumstances and still doesnt work. The EULA is not displaying when I reinstall after removing app. I explained this to techs. I know that has something to do with my credentials failing. I even was able to get the safari URL out of the app to launch it on my own! This is a case of problems with programming. I asked the level 3 tech if Im supposed to troubleshoot their code. I offered to email them the URL and they werent interested. Told me to call Apple. Lol Comcast hasnt changed much in the 25 years Ive dealt with them on so many fronts from billing errors to false promises of credits, to service and equipment problems. Hope they get their act together quickly for the sake of their shareholders.

Still issues with playing movies

I raised my rating from -1 to 2, because some movie "channels" play better than others. HBO, no problem. Reg channels, no problem, Starz.....Well theres the problem; movies played by them (that Ive noticed so far) seem to randomly quit and then do not restart and throw an error code regularly. But like now I just checked the move that stopped on Starz and everything is working again. What the heck? General problems: - Sporadic error with no playback, seems to be from specific channels; for example it will suddenly stop playing movie on Starz and will not resume but no problem playing a movie on HBO - Videos freeze with audio still playing (They did seem to fix that one for the most part.) - Badly designed gui & cant bookmark shows to watch, and locating anything is a mess (they fixed this too) - Streaming is supper slow (this seems fixed too) - Really only 3 devices allowed? Step into the 21st century and join the rest of us; most families have more than 3 mobile devices (which makes no sense since its a premium service). For large families I cant imagine how they could use this app. With all the other options out there I still pay a HUGE premium to Comcast for their crappy penny pinching services. I mean, wow I pay over a hundred bucks (nearly two) a month and they cant compete with another company (like Netflix or Amazon) who I pay ten or twenty dollars to? Wheres Comcast focus?. Grant it, they have improved the app considerably from where it was. But with movies randomly stoping, refusing to play or whatever interrupts a movie Im watching, and it happens on a regular basis, well I still cant give it more than 2 stars. Playing movies is the main point of the app and the whole business for Xfinity (thats the service I pay them for every month), and if it fails 30% of the time (just an off the cuff estimate, may be smaller/larger but seems close) then its really not great at its main function.

This app has serious flaws.

This app cannot stream live TV. After hours on the phone with Xfinity tech support, the Level 3 support person admitted that it stopped working over a week ago and that "engineers are working on it". Heard that one before! Only download this app if you thrive on frustration.

Works well overall

The Xfinity app works well on my tablet. The limitation is that shows that I record may or may not be viewed on my device. Id also like access to more live stations. We use it around the house and during travel. Any Wifi will work with it, so far.

Easy to use an convenient but needs chromecast

This app is very easy to use and convenient when I am stuck at relatives houses and Id rather be home watching tv. But it needs a Chromecast feature. That would make this app an all rounder!

8001 Error

7/29 Dear Developer, looks like Hacksaw Ridge got fixed. Dear Developer. The last private message identifies me entirely. Do me a favor then end expedite my ESCALATED response from about 30 days ago. Dear Developer. There are private messages to ComcastMax, ComcastChe, and ComcastZach. If you type in that horrendous URL you post you get redirected. The last message was 7/27. All 6 are unread. One show worked from last night. Hacksaw Ridge plays goofy. Dear developer. One recording worked this afternoon. However, Hacksaw Ridge screws up around 2:06. Downloaded Hacksaw Ridge. Still screws up. Dear Developer, went back to the forums. We have sent a number of messages. 6 of 6 unread. One recording worked this morning. 7/28. Dear Developer, we did all the account specific stuff. Absolutely everything is ok. Why don,t you focus on fixing it for everybody. Then I will be happy. Still waiting for my escalation response. Dear Developer, your response had a seven hour delay before it showed up. I have been to your forum sites, about a month ago. Some good got done. But absolutely nothing of permanence happened as evidenced by much more 8001 errors and now other Playback malfunctions. Update 7/27 evening. Got another recording to play. Tried Hacksaw Ridge. At the 2:06 point it plays about 50 seconds and then goes back to the 2:06 point. COMCAST, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Update 7/27. I got a new recording to actually play. Perhaps you fixed something. Keep it that way. Of course the previous five did not work. Dear Developer, I checked again at 7 PM. Guess what, I got another one. I AM PAYING FOR THIS! I schedule a show to record. You record it on the Comcast cloud? You show I now have a recording. I go to play it. I get Playback Issue::8001 Now you are either under resourced, devious, or criminal. What else could it be? DEAR DEVELOPER, when you get one of these errors, it says try again later, each and every time. I now have approximately 8 of these, in a month. Dear developer. Tried it your way. I went to On Demand. Guess what, Playback Issue::8001. COMCAST FIX THE DEVELOPER! Read the developer response. I do not record these programs. You do. It only took about a month to hear from you. Now what? Why give me the option to record something when you cannot or will not do it. Is this the ESCALATED response? Update 7/26 morning. Got another Playback Issue::8001 Update. Have another Playback Issue::8001 Update 7/25. Two more recordings have Playback Issue :: 8001 COMCAST PLEASE FIX THE APP Well, Sunday morning, most of it is fixed. I think they stuck in a series of commercials before Blues Brothers. Kind of changes the definition of a recording. I still have three recordings unwatchable. It is now over a month. The problem was ESCALATED over three weeks ago. No contact. Update as of 7/23. Hey the data issue 404 got fixed. However, I now have 14 recordings. I can play NONE of them. Movies on demand - DOES NOT WORK. Try playing the Blues Brothers. See what you get. It does not matter what device, nor what internet path you use. If I use my cell phone without wifi it does not work either. COMCAST - PLEASE FIX Update as of 7/3. I looked at movies on demand. I found 29 movies with "Data Issue::404" I did not poll all the movies. There has been no resolution on the playback errors. COMCAST, FIX THIS. I AM PAYING FOR THIS. I have this error on the playback of some recordings. We tried to troubleshoot on chat. That led to my modem going down 4 times in an hour. That is a sure fire way to end a chat session. We then had extremely limited service. We could only get some 13 channels. We tried phone help at several different levels. We checked our account. OK there. Everybody bewildered. We found a forum, spelled it out, did some private email, and got the service back along with our 8001 error. A tech was sent out. Every connection from the pole to the modem was disconnected, inspected, and renewed. This installation is less than a year old. The signal strength is great. This modem has two speeds, which Comcast joined. The tech split them. The 8001 error persists. Techs do NOT troubleshoot apps. Somebody was supposed to call yesterday afternoon. It did not happen. COMCAST, FIX THE APP!
