Xfinity Stream App Reviews

No one wants to buy your additional boxes, I repeat no one! You back people into a corner with this horrendous stream app and cant even do that right. Remove the air play blocker or reach an agreement with companies like viacom so we can stream.

This app has all the promise of being useful but Comcast fails to deliver in spectacular fashion. Their failure is not from a technology limitation but from a policy limitation. They prevent you from watching shows when youre away from home. So Im traveling out of the country counting on this app to watch the Stanley Cup finals and am left disappointed. I guess this app is simply so they can claim to have an app. Once its too late, Comcast executives will realize they were a technology company not a content company. One more reason to find another alternative to cable television.

If you have Xfinity wifi and the cable goes out (again) you cant use this app because most programs require that you watch only from your home network, and if you have xfinity provided internet will be down as well. This could have been a great work around when the cable is down (again). The app is riddled with numerous content restrictions.

The app doesnt let you change channels or bring up the channel guide so like much of the Comcast technology its garbage. No wonder people are cutting the cord in record numbers with this type of trash be offered up. Things worked fine until an upgrade, but QA at Comcast are just two letters that sit above one another on the keyboard.

At home, on my xfinity WiFi, I cant play any recorded programs. They stutter. They jump back to the beginning randomly, then back to where Im watching. Horrible. ETA: Six months after my initial review not one thing has changed. Still pauses, stutters and randomly jumps around the recording. Why no fix Comcast?

I like to watch my programs in batches and this app les me do that anytime and everyplace. Its great.

Shows you a bunch of movies that you cant actually watch on your phone. How stupid!

I loved this app until the most recent update. My live tv listings come up "We couldnt find a match." The only way I can watch a program is if I search for it and then just one show will come up. Also, the "For You" selections still come up but I have no channel info. If I click on the channel icon it takes me straight to the program. The app was great until you "fixed" it. Please put it back the way it was. I am very disappointed in this now.....

Like everyone else says, whats the point of streaming on your phone if you can only watch on your in-house wifi?? Stupid. AT&T U-Verse is significantly better...

It works incredibly well. I am a big fan of xfinity. If you dont have a smart remote, I would get one of those too.

Cant snowbird or travel with XFINITY as it doesnt transfer to any other device (Apple TV, Chromecast, Riki, Airplay, New TVs) WHY,WHY,WHY?

1. The app will quit during a show and declare that I have to be on my home wifi to get the stream. I AM ON MY HOME WiFi! 2. The app will declare "Ooops!" Something happened, but what is really happening is I am not able to see the show until I get on a desktop. Lots of other problems but who has time.....

When I wanna watch the playoffs, I search the team, press games, then it just crashes. ??‍♂️ Edit: It worked later on. I just had to press "NBA Playoffs" on the main screen, press a certain game, and watch it! Thank you for the help and support, Ive been dying to watch NBA teams compete for a title!

Love this. Can keep up with my favorites even while traveling.

I love that I can stream while having my phone screen off. It is great to listen to the news or other shows in the background while I work!
